How do I set up my Sight Bulb?

Do I tap "Wi-Fi Camera" or "Dual-band Wi-Fi Camera"?

If you have a regular Sight Bulb, select "Wi-Fi Camera"

If you have a Sight Bulb PRO, select "Dual-band Wi-Fi Camera"

How do I control Sight Bulb PRO's Light?

i Sight Bulb PRO's 700 lumen LED light can be controlled manually, or configured to turn on and off on a weekly schedule.

In the Sight Bulb app, tap on the video preview of the Sight Bulb PRO you
wish to configure. Next, tap on the light bulb icon and turn on "LED
Light." A new button called "LED Timing will show up, tap on that to set
a schedule for the light.

How do I Factory Reset my Sight Bulb?

All Sight Bulb models feature a simple reset button. Do NOT turn off power to your Sight Bulb while performing the reset!

On i Sight Bulb,
use the included reset tool to press the button hidden inside the hole labeled "Reset" until you hear a warning sound. Keep holding the button for 30 seconds. Your Sight Bulb is now reset.

On i Sight Bulb PRO,
press and hold the button labeled "Reset" until you hear a warning sound. Keep holding the button for 30 seconds. Your Sight Bulb PRO is now reset.

What devices is Sight Bulb compatible with?

Sight Bulb works with smartphones running both iOS and Android.

How do I enable Push Notifications?

To enable push notifications, open the Sight Bulb app, tap on your camera, then tap the settings gear icon at the top right.

Then go to "Alert Settings" and enable the type of motion alerts you would like to receive.

How do I add more storage to my Sight Bulb?

All Sight Bulb models use microSD cards for storage.

We offer a 64GB microSD card specifically designed for Sight Bulb and factory formatted to work with your device. You can get one here!

Other 3rd party microSD cards (up to 128GB) should also work with Sight Bulb but we cannot guarantee compatibility.

Does Sight Bulb support 5GHz Wi-Fi?

Sight Bulb PRO supports both 2.4GHz AND 5GHz Wi-Fi.

However, the regular Sight Bulb only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

Can Sight Bulb be used Outdoors?

Yes! All Sight Bulb models are designed to work both indoors and outdoors.

Sight Bulb is water resistant but not waterproof. Make sure you place your camera in a position where it will not be directly exposed to harsh rain or snow. The glass cover of a porch light is perfect to keep your Sight Bulb safe!

Will Sight Bulb reset if the power goes out?

Do not worry, Sight Bulb will not lose any settings if power is suddenly cut.

When power is restored, Sight Bulb will automatically reconnect to your Wi-Fi and resume functioning as normal.

Troubleshooting

Why isn't my Sight Bulb connecting?

There may be a few potential reasons your Sight Bulb cannot connect to the internet.

Firstly, make sure that you selected the correct Wi-Fi network and entered your
Wi-Fi password correctly during Sight Bulb setup.
You can also try restarting your router and factory resetting your Sight Bulb. If none of the above solutions work for you, try placing a Wi-Fi repeater/extender between your router and Sight Bulb. This will boost the Wi-Fi signal to your Sight Bulb and will allow you to place it further from your router
without losing connection.

My Sight Bulb's view is Upside-Down!

No problem! The Sight Bulb App allows you to easily flip the view of your camera.

In the app, tap on your Sight Bulb's camera feed and then tap the "Function" button at the bottom right. Next, tap "Image Flip" and select either upright or reversed depending on your camera's orientation.

Why is my SD Card not working?

i Sight Bulb is only compatible with microSD cards up to 128GB, make sure your card does not exceed that value.

Try inserting the SD card into your Sight Bulb, powering off Sight Bulb, and powering it back on.

If that doesn't work, try inserting the microSD card into your computer and formatting it there as FAT32.

If that also doesn't work or you are unable to format the card, try inserting it into Sight Bulb and then factory resetting Sight Bulb.

My Wi-Fi Changed and Sight Bulb isn't connecting!

If you've changed internet service providers, routers, or your Wi-Fi's name, Sight Bulb will need to be factory reset before it can connect again.

To factory reset your Sight Bulb, check the "How do I factory reset my Sight Bulb?" guide above. After being reset, you can re-connect your Sight Bulb using the app.

Why are Notifications not working?

If notifications aren't working, try the following steps:

  • Make sure motion alerts are enabled on your Sight Bulb app
  • Check your phone's settings for "Sight Bulb" and ensure the app has permission to send notifications
  • In the Sight Bulb app, try turning motion alerts off, pressing save, then turning them back on again and pressing save
